Rainbow Smoothie Series: Orange Smoothie

This is the final installment of the Rainbow Smoothie Series and I’m pleased to share with you one of my favourite non-green smoothies and to announce, that I will soon start a Dessert Smoothie Series, so stay tuned!

But right now it’s all about the orange smoothie. The orange component in this refreshing and sweet treat, is of course the carrot, which contains and promotes many health benefits , such as:

  1. Improved vision
  2. Cancer prevention
  3. Anti-aging
  4. Healthy glowing skin
  5. Powerful antiseptic
  6. Heart disease prevention
  7. Stroke prevention
  8. Healthy teeth and gums

What’s not to love? So blend up a few of these orange beauties and feel energized!

The Orange Smoothie

  • 3 carrots
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 fresh mango
  • 1 sweet apple
  • 1 orange
  • 3 dl water or nut milk

The Directions

  • Wash and chop the carrot into small chunks
  • Wash and chop the fruits into chunks
  • Run in a blender adding liquid a bit at a time to adjust thickness
  • Blend until completely smooth and delicious
  • Garnish with fresh fruit, pumpkin seeds, desiccated coconut and a straw
  • Enjoy!
