Roasted Hazelnut Butter

This is going to be a quick and simple post as hazelnut butter is a quick and simple thing. And so, so, so delicious. You know, that nutty flavour of nutella, right? And the taste of soft nougat? All hazelnut, baby! So blend some up and spread it all over your bread, in cakes, cookies, on your oatmeal, as a dip for your celery or in these heavenly Snickers Bars.


The Roasted Hazelnut Butter

  • 400 g raw hazelnuts
  • 1/2 vanilla pod

The Directions

  • Preheat oven to 170°C / 340°F
  • Place hazelnuts on a baking sheet
  • Bake for about 10 minutes
  • Check that they don’t go black
  • Rub the hazelnuts with a kitchen towel until they are as naked as possible
  • Place naked hazelnuts + vanilla in a food processor
  • Process until smooth / takes a few minutes
  • Pour into a jar and store in the fridge
