Simple Iced Almond Latte

I love coffee. I love coffee straight out of the bed, I love coffee on my lunch break, I love coffee in the afternoon, I love coffee just before bed. I just love coffee and I want to drink it all the time. It is, however, summer in Copenhagen, and when it’s too hot to even function, hot coffee isn’t ideal, so lately I’ve been drinking my body weight in iced lattes. They take care of my coffee cravings without making me feel like I’m going to melt from the inside out. And they are so easy to make.

IMG_5461Iced Almond Latte

  • Crushed ice
  • Almond milk
  • 1 or 2 shots of espresso

Crush the ice using either a blender or the good old back of a spoon with the ice wrapped in a clean kitchen towel. Fill up your glass, pour almond milk over and finish it off with a few shots of your favourite espresso.

That is easy, right? And feel free to get creative here. Use any plantbased milk of your liking, and add syrups for extra deliciousness. I love using caramel syrup or a splash of Galliano or Disaronno if I’m feeling fancy.
