Sweet Treat Shakes: Peanut Butter Cup

I am going to bring a new series to milkingAlmonds starting right now.

It will be called Sweet Treat Shakes and the concept is to take traditional sweet treats and create its milkshake equivalent.

Lots of our favourite sweets are full of nasty ingredients we can’t even pronounce, and I want to try my very best to provide an all natural & healthy alternative in the form of a milkshake.

Today I will also give you an easy recipe for the treat itself; PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!

Mmmh, right?

The Peanut Butter Cup Shake

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 large or 2 small banana(s) / frozen!
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
  • 5-6 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder
  • Almond milk / add to your preference

The Peanut Butter Cup Shake Directions

  • Run all ingredients in a blender / add almond milk gradually to adjust thickness
  • You can also slip in a handful of spinach if that sounds like someone you would like to do / extra nutrients without messing up the taste
  • Pour into a jar or glass and enjoy it like you enjoy seeing someone fall

  1. Love the idea of this recipe! Unfortunately, I am allergic to bananas (I know, weird) and was wondering if you could think of anything that would work just as well? I sure hope so because this looks amazing!

    1. Hi, avocado gives a nice creaminess too. You can also use maybe 1/2 a cup of soaked cashews, soy yogurt or just plain old ice cream.
